Carter Jennings and Ellyson Evans meet the first day of college. First of all, I love the name Ellyson! I think it is beautiful and different. Carter was smitten with Elly’s athletic appearance and beautiful red hair and her unawareness to everything around her. She was at school to learn and was very focused and just kept to herself. Once Carter started to lay on his charm, Elly was quick to notice how crazy hot he was. They formed an amazing friendship that lasted all through their college years, never crossing the line into anything more than friends. Carter had to return home to Texas for a few years after graduation to help with his family business while Elly stayed in New York and started her career. They lost touch over those years, but they never stopped thinking about each other and the feelings that they had for each other. Thankfully Carter is able to leave Texas and landed his dream job back in the Big Apple and he hopes his path will cross with Elly and of course it does.

I found this book to be heartwarming, loving, endearing, hot and sexy all wrapped up into one! There are so many more parts to this book that I would love to share with you, but I would completely ruin the whole thing! Just know that this book is filled with some great surprises and some snarky older ladies that will make you laugh! This book is the first in the Love in the City Series and Steph set the series up beautifully with the background characters that definitely have their own stories to tell! I know who the next book is about, but I am keeping it a secret! Elly and Carter have a great group of friends that they author told me she considers as a cross between the cast of Friends and Sex in the City and I completely agree! If you are looking for a sweet story with some smutty goodness thrown in for fun; then Wanted by You is a perfect match and it is a must read!
