To say I was excited to get my hands on this book is an understatement. It came at the perfect time, just when I was looking for a smoking hot little read to take the edge off the rainbows and unicorns I had been reading. Nikki Sloane comes through EVERY.SINGLE.TIME……… wowzer can that woman write SEX, I think I possibly may have even blushed a few times!!
I was so interested to read Joseph Monsato’s story. As the owner of the Blindfold Club- we had read about him in the past two books but I wondered in what direction the author would go with him and his heroine. There were a few times he was an outright asshole and I wanted so badly for him to redeem himself- HE CERTAINLY DID! Joseph exudes sex and power and, Noemi was the perfect heroine to balance out the story.
Noemi has always followed what her family had planned for her future. Raised to always act with dignity and be the perfect lady- she craves the freedom to act on her urges. Her instant attraction to Joseph scares her but she is not deterred.
“You want things, but you’re too shy to ask, or too scared of what will happen. I’m offering you pleasure like you wouldn’t believe, and you’ll be safe from regret or judgment. If you say yes, your desires become my responsibility.”
15 years Noemi’s senior, Joseph knows exactly what he likes, wants and will have. His dirty mouth is Noemi’s weakness and soon she is unable to resist him. Believing she has kept her identity from Joseph, he knows exactly who she is and knowing that it could destroy the future of the club- he will not be denied having her.
I may actually be ruined for any other super-hot books out there- Nikki has a way of setting up the hottest little scenes that leave you looking over your shoulder. Although the book did not focus on the emotional aspect and more on the physical aspect, it was still a wonderful read. It is “THE BOOK” you pick up when you need to cleanse your palate and are wanting something naughty.
