The Off-Campus series is hands-down one of the best New Adult series out there. Each and everyone has been a hit for me. But, I have to admit there was just something about The Goal that didn’t make it a 5-star read for me.

John Tucker is literally the kind of guy that all girls want. He definitely brought out the ocelot (a mini cougar, lol) in me. He exudes some serious sexiness yet has this approachable nice-guy attitude. He is the guy that other guys want to be and the guy all girls want to have.

Sabrina was a bit of a hard pill to swallow. She was super-determined and had a one-track mind when it came to her future. Harvard Law School. I mean, I get why she was a bit closed off, her family life was anything but ideal. BUT, I don’t think she treated others the way she should’ve, Tucker included. Well, I think she treated her stepfather properly but he was a disgusting human being.

I think my huge reservation with this book was that these two weren’t really a couple. There were no grand overtures of affections, no discussion about how they felt about each other TO EACH OTHER. Tucker seemed to be the one always doing the chasing and the gestures. It’s almost like I want to say that perhaps he deserved someone better.

Again, I just had issues with that aspect of the book. I still enjoyed the book nonetheless. It was written fabulously as are all of Elle’s other books. I look forward to the next one in this series, and like all others are hoping, I would really like it to be Fitzy’s.
