My heart belonged to Branch and Brooks Valentine since we were children, when we were all too naïve to know what that even meant. We didn’t understand that when we became adults, love would change us. I had to make a choice and when I did, it ripped our bond apart. Brooks left town, and he took half of my heart with him. It was difficult, but I coped and planned my future with Branch. I thought I’d made the right decision. I loved him and I always had.

Brooks showed up to be our best man the night before our nuptials. After drinks and too much reminiscing, I ended up in bed with the wrong brother. To avoid the humiliation and the fact that I’d ruined all of our lives, I left Branch and the only family I’d ever known.

That’s where my story should have ended.

Two years, one beautiful little girl and an abusive marriage later, I was standing there staring at the man that would always hold my heart.

The only question was…

Would I give it to him

I’m Katy Michaels and this is my story.

Love’s Suicide by Jennifer Foor is a completely different book than what you would expect from Jenn.  There aren’t any hot Mitchell boys in this book, but you do get to meet the Valentine twins and they are worth the read!  Katy Michaels was lucky enough to have a set of twin boys as her best friends growing up.  They helped her through the death of her parents on 9/11 and their parents raised her from that point forward.  The only downside in having twin boys as your best friends is that you are bound to fall for at least one of them, right?  Then what if you pick one, but really it isn’t the one that you want to pick?  And even more so, what if you are ready to marry the one, but then sleep with the other one the night before your wedding?  Well, that is the beginning of Love’s Suicide!  I am not giving anything away as all those details are included in the synopsis, trust me!

“Don’t be scared, Kat.  If you fall, I’ll catch you.  I always have and I always will.”

Next Katy decides to high tail it away from her hometown as she knows everyone hates her at this point.  She ends up in some small town in South Carolina to begin the process of starting a new life.  Katy stumbles upon a waitressing job and meets a new friend that is able to help her out with a place to stay.  She feels like she needs to move forward in her life in the best way she can, even with constant reminders of everyone that she left behind.  Bobby, a local fellow, becomes her knight in shining armor, but everything is not always what it seems.  While Bobby just wants her to give him her heart; she can’t seem to let go of the one true love that became oh so clear to her the night before she was to be married.  Can Katy let go of her one true love and give her heart to the one that has done so much for her?

“Hurry back to me.  We’ve got forever to spend together.”

I don’t even know where to begin as there was so much going on in this book!  I had an anxiety attack through the beginning of the book leading up to her almost wedding!  I survived that, only to be thrown for another loop when she made it to South Carolina.  Then the curve balls just kept on coming and coming!  There are so many juicy bits that I would love to share with you, but it would ruin the whole story!  Jenn takes us on this crazy ride through Katy’s journey and you need to hold on and close your eyes at spots!  I don’t know if one girl could take much more!  At some points you want smack Katy and then the next minute you want to hug her while she cries!  This book is super sexy and angst filled and just the perfect read!  Love’s Suicide is action packed, completely heartwarming and a must read for sure!!!
