He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.
A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive.
When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours.
My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.
I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

What an absolutely FUN read! When I started this book, never did I imagine I would enjoy it so much. Completely different from what I was expecting- it was delightful and hilarious.
“Sometimes it takes losing everything to make you realize what you really need.”
Our hero- Chance, a sexy Australian with a dirty, yet cocky mouth becomes stranded at a rest stop- where he lays eyes on Aubrey. Chance gives us everything we would expect from a “Cocky Bastard”, I was immediately allured by his overconfident gall.
“You are in control of your destiny–except in the next twenty-four hours. I’m in control of it for now.”
Aubrey- traveling cross country to a new place for a fresh start, meets Chance in a rest stop store and decides to give this smart mouthed, arrogant asshole a lift. Little does she realize, very quickly things change and not only does she let him into her car but under her skin as well. Their journey is pretty short but their feelings grow deep. And, let me not fail to mention the real star of the story “Esmeralda Snowflake” probably one of the best supporting characters in a book that I have ever read. Esmeralda just took the story over the top.
The writing was AMAZING, Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland are a fantastic duo- I don’t remember the last time while reading a book- I laughed so loud I snorted. I devoured the pages as fast as I could because it was just that enjoyable and though the story started off humorous, things got serious and a wonderful, steamy, love story ensued.
