One promise.
One forever.

One look and I knew Cole was mine. My dark rebel in leather. My powerhouse of passion, devastating smiles, and impulsiveness. When his job sends him overseas, he promises to return to me.

A promise that’s destroyed in the most irrevocable way.

Two years later, an arrogant suit invades my heartbroken loneliness.

Clean-cut and stern, Trace is everything Cole wasn’t. At first, he’s a job that will rescue my dance company. But as he intrudes on my life, our hostile relationship evolves.

He knows I’m still in love with Cole, but his dedication is my undoing.

Then a catastrophic moment changes everything.

Promises resurface. Lies entangle.

And an impossible choice shatters my world.

I love two men, and I can only have one.

Very rarely do I read a series a series that knowingly ends on a cliffhanger when not all the books have been released. But when I read the synopsis of Pam Godwin’s newest series there was no way I was going to wait for all books. I needed the first one, and I needed it immediately.

Danni is still reeling from losing the love of her life, Cole. Her and Cole have an intense 10-month courtship that ends on an awful note. Danni is left to pick up the pieces and still after 3 years she’s not fully over Cole.

When Trace Savoy enters her life offering her an opportunity she can’t refuse, her heart finally feels like it may be able to move on. From the outside, Trace is this enigma that fascinates Danni. One minute he is hot (smoking hot) and in the next breath he is cold.   Trace seems to be the master of mixed signals until his pull to Danni finally gets to be too much for him to handle.

This story is Danni’s journey to move on from losing the love of her live and finally realizing that perhaps you get more than one chance to love. You see her go through a whole slew of emotions by ridding herself of her past love and trying to move forward.

While I took a liking to both guys, I am not sure how I want this to play out. Danni had scorching chemistry with both men. I swear one of the hottest scenes I read didn’t even include any full-on body contact.

I am not sure that many authors can pull off a series like this. Pam’s writing is so spectacular and will keep you so entranced that you don’t even realize you’ve hit 100% on the story. That’s a true testament to her writing.

If you are a huge fan of love triangles with a side of angst then you definitely need to pick this one up. And…can I please have book 2 now?
