EVEN THE BROKEN, THROUGH LOVE, CAN FIND GRACE…
Secrets never stay hidden.
The burden of guilt never lifts from the heart.
Born and raised in The Order of David, Sister Phebe knows nothing but cult life. Head of the Sacred Sisters of New Zion, Phebe was groomed from childhood for one purpose: to seduce. Prized as a harlot, as a New Zion whore, Phebe is taken from the doomed cult by Meister, the notorious leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. Taken as his possession. Taken to be the woman who will obey his every sexual demand. Under his heavy hand, Phebe finds herself in a place much worse than she could ever have imagined… with absolutely no one to help. And no glimpse of hope.
Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes is content with his life as Sergeant-At-Arms of the Hades Hangmen. Leader of the infamous ‘Psycho Trio’ and ex-special ops sniper, AK knows how to fight. Experienced in warfare and schooled in military operations, AK is vital to the Hangmen. When his Vice President needs help retrieving his missing sister-in-law, Phebe, from a Klan-funded trafficking ring, AK volunteers to go in. AK remembers the redhead from New Zion. Remembers everything about her from the single time they met—her red hair, blue eyes and freckled face. But when he finds her, heavily drugged and under Meister’s control, her sorry condition causes him to remember more than the beautiful woman he once tied to a tree. Saving Phebe forces hidden demons from his past to return. A past he can never move on from, no matter how hard he tries.
As AK fights to help Phebe, and in turn she strives to help him, they realize their secret sins will never leave them alone. Kindred broken souls, they realize the only way they can be rid of their ghosts is to face them together and try to find peace.
Despair soon turns to hope, and damaged hearts soon start to heal. But when their deep, painful scars resurface, becoming too much to bear, the time comes when they must make a heavy choice: stay forever damned; or together, find grace.
Dark Contemporary Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. Recommended for age 18 and over.
Damnable Grace is the 5th book in the Hades Hangmen series and although each book in the series follows a different brother from the Hangmen– this series is NOT A STANDALONE! You definitely need to read these books in the series order or you will miss important information; not to mention you will just feel lost.
In Damnable Grace we learn more about Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes, who is the Sergeant-At-Arms of the Hades Hangmen and also leader of the infamous ‘Psycho Trio.’ He is asked by his Vice-President to help rescue Phebe, his wife Lilah’s blood sister (from Hearts Recaptured, book 2 in the series); but saving her from the evil Meister who now controls her isn’t going to be as easy as it seems.
Sister Phebe was born and raised in the New Order of David and was once the head of the Sacred Sisters of New Zion; she has been trained for pretty much one purpose in life- to seduce and bring men into the New Order. Now in the clutches of the controlling Meister, she is in great danger.
“We can chase the sunrise together. We can be the sunrise… together.”
It’s hard to say too much about this book without giving away secrets or spoilers- so I will just say that I really and truly loved it. I laughed (the Psycho Trio gets me every time- especially Viking) and my heart melted at times. There is something that is revealed about AK, that has very close personal meaning to me and friends of mine. Tillie, as always, did an amazing job with her research and writing this book and she had me bawling in several spots!
This series is one of my absolute favorite series. I don’t often reread books, because I have so many other ones on my kindle, just waiting for me to read them. But, each time Tillie Cole writes a new book in this series, I go back and read all of them over again. They are just that good. Yes, they are definitely dark and some of the subject matter is hard to read, but they are so well done! Rarely these days does a book hold my interest from cover to cover and this series does every time I read it!
I think one of the things I love about this series and all of these characters is the innocence and love that they bring out in each other. The men of the Hangmen are rough, alpha men who have done and seen a lot in their lives. But, of course there is another side to them and the women in these books help bring out that side- which like I said has an almost pure and innocent quality that is so endearing. I can’t wait for more in this series and especially from Viking- who I think is going to make a great main character!
**These books have disturbing and sensitive subject matters- so please be fair warned**
