Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs. Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.
Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…
I don’t know why I didn’t find out about this book until 2 days ago but I’m seriously happy that I found it. I am an New Adult addict and this just seriously was a fantastic fix to my addiction. It had all the elements that I so crave when looking for that perfect NA book. It has cute and loveable heroines, seriously swoony heros, a storyline that is believable, and the perfect chemistry to make it fabulous.
Pepper is in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter. I mean seriously in love, doesn’t look at any other guy in love. When Hunter becomes available she decides she needs to get in the ring and get some experience before she can make a play for him. Who better to get some experience with than the ultimate man-whore and bartender at the local watering hole? When Reece, the yummy bartender offers up to help her she dives head-first into her education of foreplay. But what happens when you realize that maybe your expectations and reality doesn’t really live up to what you thought?
OyMG…that sounds fabulous, right?! Well, trust me it is. There were parts of this book that had me clutching my heart, made me swoon, and just fall in love all over again. Plus, it made me a little mad that I didn’t have my own Reece.
The storyline was perfect. I loved the pace in this one too. The friend/relation-ship between Reese and Pepper really played out well. It was a slow burn at first and made it so much more realistic. There was no insta-love, nothing that made me want to scream.
Pepper was a very realistic heroine, yes sure, she had her issues but most do. I think for dealing with her childhood and what she went through she wasn’t that jaded, “I hate the world” type of chick. She was a bit naïve when it came to the opposite sex but that made here even more loveable. Reece was just…well…yeah. He was the sort of guy that breaks hearts and doesn’t really care nor does it on purpose. He is hotness personified with his sweetness, charm, hot bod, and tattoos. Who doesn’t want a bad boy with a heart of gold?!
If you are looking for a fun, sweet, mildy angsty, book full of sexual chemistry that is off the charts than grab this one!
