With Olympic tryouts on the horizon, the last thing nineteen-year-old Kinsley Bryant needs to add to her plate is Liam Wilder. He’s a professional soccer player, America’s favorite bad-boy, and has all the qualities of a skilled panty-dropper. • A face that makes girls weep – check. • Abs that can shred Parmesan cheese (the expensive kind) – check. • Enough confidence to shift the earth’s gravitational pull – double check.

Not to mention Liam is strictly off limits . Forbidden. Her coaches have made that perfectly clear. (i.e. “Score with Coach Wilder anywhere other than the field and you’ll be cut from the team faster than you can count his tattoos.”) But that just makes him all the more enticing…Besides, Kinsley’s already counted the visible ones, and she is not one to leave a project unfinished.

Kinsley tries to play the game her way as they navigate through forbidden territory, but Liam is determined to teach her a whole new definition for the term “team bonding.”

Lately I’ve been reading a lot of angsty, forbidden, dark, twisty, serious books. I think I needed a slight detour from my normal reads, a bit of a palate cleanser per se. But alas, the first word that stood out was forbidden so of course I had to pick it up right away. What I wasn’t expecting was a fun, sexy, and super-witty read.

Kinsley is a soccer genius starting out with the ULA soccer team with hopes of joining the USA Olympic team. She has been cheated on by her last two boyfriends so right now guys are the last thing from her mind. One the night of her 19th birthday, she meets Liam Wilder, the hot, bad boy of soccer. Their initial meeting is full of sexual tension until Liam informs her that he is her coach…cue the splash of cold water. Both Liam and Kinsley cannot fight the magnetic pull they have towards each other. What happens when what you want the most can also derail your dreams?

Like I said above I really enjoyed this story. Kinsley was just an all-around fantastic character. She was beyond funny, to the point that I LOL’d every few pages. She was also all about her girlfriends and put them first. I really did love her friendship with Becca, they were a great example of what friendship should be about. Kinsley also stood up for herself and did not let anyone get between her and what was most important to her. Honestly, she would be a perfect role-model for girls if she wasn’t a fictional character.

Another thing that this book touched on was perception and how the media twists things. Being a huge celebrity stalker/magazine hoarder, I know that things aren’t usually the way they are reported. This was the same in Liam’s case. He is the reported bad-boy of the soccer world, but that could not be further from the truth. He was just 100% yumminess wrapped up in killer abs with some sexy tattoos. Together Kinsley and Liam just made sense. They were two mega talented soccer stars that had the world at the fingertips. Their sexual tension was hot, but when they got together, it was 10x that!

If you are looking for a light, fun, sexy read then definitely check out Scoring Wilder!
