I am not a slut, although I’ve been called one often enough. Yeah, I spent three months screwing one of my college professors, but I was crazy about this guy. Then he broke up with me. I am not a bitch, although people like to say I am. I kept our relationship secret. I’m not responsible for telling the university administrators about it, but a lot of students still blame me for getting their favorite professor fired. I am not a drama queen, although everyone thinks I am now. When I got a few nasty messages, I just deleted them. When I got the threat, I assumed it was someone being stupid. I still think that’s all it was. My parents worry, though, so they hired me a bodyguard. Now Jack follows me around, intimidating everyone who approaches me and looking obnoxiously. This is what I am. I’m Chloe. I’m a twenty-year-old art history major. Kind of shy, although I pretend not to be. Stubborn enough to stay here for my senior year, even though everyone hates me. And I’m stuck with Jack.
He calls me “Princess,” but I’m not a princess either.

How many of have seen the movie The Bodyguard starring Whitney Houston (RIP)? If you have, you may want to pick up Knowing Jack by Rachel Curtis. Knowing Jack is a cross between The Bodyguard meets TV’s Felicity. Chloe, an art history major that comes from a very wealthy family, finds herself in quite a little predicament. She had an affair with her well loved professor and the school found out about it; causing him to be fired. After the firing, Chloe begins receiving some scary texts and then a threat that causes her parents to take action. Chloe is adamant about returning to the same college after summer break, as she is trying to get her life back in order. In an effort to ease their worries, Chloe’s parents decide to hire a bodyguard for Chloe.
“So would you use your gun to take care of it?”
Let me tell you, I know the girl is being threatened, but she lucks out when her bodyguard Jack, walks into her life! Swoon!! Twenty-six year old Jack, can be hired to protect me any time! He is big and strong and has big hands; he is hired to do anything he has to in order to keep Chloe safe. So what happens when two good looking and single people spend this much time together in such a close manner? Yep, you guessed it! The problem then becomes, is Jack able to keep Chloe safe from these threats while he is trying to keep her heart safe from him?
“I don’t want you to put on an act for me. I want this to be about you. The real you.”
I found this book to be super hot and steamy and pretty funny all at the same time. Chloe comes up with these Top Ten lists for different areas of her life and they were very clever and hilarious! Every time Jack called Chloe, “Princess,” my heart would melt a little more. Jack has his issues that he is trying to work past and falling for Chloe was definitely not in his plan. Seeing Jack’s feelings change for Chloe, made him even more lovable. The sexual chemistry between Jack and Chloe was off the charts! My only question with this book is I don’t know if there is a follow up to it. I feel that I was left with some uncertainty and I need to know what happens next! Please Rachel, tell me that there is a sequel?
