Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.
Through it all, there’s been one constant; wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he’s ever had to fight for.
Remy is book three in the Real Series, and marks the end of Brooke and Remington’s story- unless we are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of their life together in future books.
“I think everything about her was made for me. I feel proprietary. Territorial. I want to claim her. I want to take her down and strip her down and pin her under me.”
Remy is Remington’s story, told almost completely in his point of view, from the first time he sees Brooke until just past the end of book two- Mine. Remy is intense, strong-willed, and he is use to getting what he wants. What he wants more than anything is Brooke Dumas. He tries to protect her from his manic, “speedy” black days, but being with her means letting her see who he really is.
“I drag her scent to my lungs like a junkie, and suddenly every inch of my body wants to cup her hips and draw her into me so I can scent her more.”
I LOVED being in Remy’s head, I have been waiting to hear from him since Real, and hearing his version of his and Brooke’s story from his POV was interesting. He clearly loves Brooke with everything he is and wants to be able to trust her and believe that she could love him too.
My complaint about this book, is that it was almost a complete repeat of Real and Mine, with only a few small original parts added to it. I would have liked to not have only Remy’s side of the their story, but also have “more” to their story.
“You’re everything I never knew I wanted.” I huskily whisper, tucking her hair behind her ear. “And all mine, remember that tidbit,” I add, forcing myself to stand, “Completely mine…Brooke Dumas.”
