Worth It by Nicki DeStasi: Blog Tour, Review, and GiveawayWorth It by Nicki DeStasi

Anna lives every day the best she can while struggling against the demons that threaten to consume her and drag her back into the darkness of her very troubled past. The last thing she needs right now is a guy, especially one as sweet and sexy as Jed. When the attraction becomes too strong to resist, she gives into it. Even when she knows it’ll only end in disaster and leave her even more her scared and broken than she was before.

Jed wants to find the right woman and he’s drawn to Anna by carnal magnetism, but she also brings out an Alpha side of him that he’s never known. When his alpha rears its head, it triggers memories in Anna and her carefully crafted wall of protection begins to show cracks.

When fate and misunderstandings threaten the already delicate relationship, can they survive? When Anna’s demons threaten to be unearthed and Jed’s inner alpha only seem to make them worse, can they overcome?

Is it even worth it?

Leary says…

Anna is a girl that unfortunately has felt unworthy her entire life. Her parents and her stepdad never showed her that she was loved..the only people that have ever made her feel somewhat loved are her friends.

Anna finally thinks she has found her true love, someone that is going to make her feel special. Something she has never truly felt her entire life. What she thought she found ended up being the complete opposite. He tore her down and took away any semblance of self-confidence that she had left.

I felt for Anna, she had the worst people surrounding her. There was no one around to make her feel special, make her realize that she really deserves better and is worth it.

Her saving grace out of the hell that she was been living is Jed. He finds funny ways to make her laugh, such corny jokes that had me smiling. You know what jokes I’m talking about..those super corny jokes kind of like ‘Are your legs tired, because you’ve been running through my mind all day long’. You can’t help laughing at them even though you know they are horrible.

Will Anna be able to move past everything that has happened to her and all the people that have made her feel lousy. Will she reach out of the dark and into her sunshine that is Jed?

This book has everything, humor, angst, suspense, and an amazing leading man that you can’t help loving! I definitely felt for Anna throughout the entire book, I couldn’t help feeling bad for everything that happened to her and how all the people in her life treated her. I loved Jed, he treated her amazingly and was totally worth the hell she had to go through to find him.

About Nicki DeStasi

Nicki DeStasi was raised in a small town in Massachusetts. She attended Fitchburg State College and studied Early Childhood Education. As a child, she enjoyed reading, but only recently began doing it again. She has always had an inventive imagination and finally decided to put those ideas on paper for others to enjoy. Worth It will be Nicki’s first self-published book. A few personal facts: Sloth from The Goonies is her third cousin, she acted and started in several plays throughout high school and college, and she can play different instruments. Nicki’s philosophy is to appreciate the good things in life. If we didn’t make mistakes and have bad things happen then we wouldn’t know how truly wonderful the good things are. No matter how difficult life is sometimes, if we look to the people that love us, then we can get through them and on to the good stuff.
