Seoafin “Finnie” Wilde was taught by her parents that every breath was a treasure and to seek every adventure she could find. And she learns this lesson the hard way when they perish in a plane crash. But she never forgets and when she discovers there is a parallel universe where every person has a twin, she finds a witch who can send her there so she can have the adventure of a lifetime.

But upon arrival in the Winter Wonderland of Lunwyn, she realizes she’s been played by her twin and finds herself walking down the aisle to be wed to The Drakkar.

Thrown into inauspicious circumstances, with years of practice, Finnie bests the challenges and digs into her adventure. But as Frey Drakkar discovers the woman who is his new wife is not Princess Sjofn, a woman he dislikes but instead, his Finnie, a free-spirit with a thirst for venture just like him, without her knowledge he orders his new bride bound to his frozen world, everlasting.

But at the same time Frey plunges Finnie into a web of political intrigue that includes assassination plots, poison, magic, mystery and… dragons.

Casey Says…

I want to start by saying that I am a HUGE paranormal fan, however I have NEVER read anything close to what Kristen Ashley has done with this series. Everyone knows that I am a huge KA fan, but it never struck me to delve deeper into her other works besides the usual romance. That is until I joined a little group on Facebook- wisely titled, ‘Rock Chick Nation’ and saw the love that the Fantasyland series was getting. I think I have fallen in love with this author ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

To start we have our heroine Finnie Wilde, who has tragically lost her parents at a young age. Being an adrenaline junkie, she pays a witch and embarks on an adventure of traveling to an alternate universe where she learned her parents (of that realm) were still alive. Upon arriving in that realm- her twin of that world whom she switches with left her the following note:

Seoafin,

Tonight, you marry The Drakkar. In the ancient tongue, this means The Dragon.

Good luck,

Sjofn

Enter a hot alpha warrior who commands DRAGONS and from there a tale that can only be spun from an amazing mind begins…

“It was beyond anything I could have wished it to be. You are, my wee Finnie, beyond my wildest dreams.”

I went into this read completely blind and I really feel its best, so many tag words can easily turn a person off and this IS A MUST READ SERIES so I don’t want to give too much away

Never did I imagine I would fall in love with something so closely related to an adult fairytale as this. Finnie and Frey were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved the details that transported me to the land they lived in. There were a few times in the story where other “lands” were mentioned and I am hoping the author was setting up her other stories. I am so excited to delve into the other books- AHHHHH once again a series by Kristen Ashley that I will mourn when I am done!

About Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
