Question: What happens when a thirty-year-old virgin hires a sex surrogate to take care of her "little problem"?

Answer: Lots of laughs and tons of heat. You'll be left wanting a Dr. Ryan Andrews of your own.

Warning: This story contains mature humor, a lot of cursing, and of course, sexual situations. It’s intended for adult readers who enjoy that kind of thing.

Sexual Surrogate (Definition): A sexual surrogate, sometimes called a surrogate partner, is a member of a sex therapy team consisting of client(s), supervising therapist, and surrogate. I needed a book that hit the spot and it took two attempts before I found THE ONE! I swear, I could not get enough of The Lessons-I seriously was sneak reading at work, the dentist, at home, etc.

Natalie is a 30-year old woman on a quest to lose her virginity. She has had some downs in her life that has left her unable to date. She’s a Type-A gal to a T (lists and all) and after moving to a new city, she’s found a way to accomplish her number one priority. A sex surrogate. Enter in the holy grail of all sex surrogates, Ryan Andrews.

Ryan is just shy of getting his PhD and has been a sex surrogate for quite awhile. He’s this tatted, sexy, motorcycle riding hunk of man that will make you want him. Trust me! It doesn’t help that these two met briefly before they were introduced as client/surrogate and had sparks to begin with. The sparks that occur after they enter into their new “relationship” become even more intense!

These two enter into a clinical-type of relationship to de-virginize Natalie and to work through her fictionalized issues. While trying to compartmentalize they end up failing miserably while forming feelings for each other. But, as we all know there is no way that can actually happen.

This book is a mix of forbidden romance, swooniness, sexual tension, hilarity (I love the hashtags and Natalie’s inner voice) and some twists and turns. This book became my obsession yesterday as I couldn’t wait to see what happened with Ryan and Natalie.

When he put aside his clinical persona, I really fell hard for Ryan. There was so much to him that made my heart pitter-patter. Isn’t that what we are all looking for in romance books??

If you are looking for a fun and sexy book to get lost in…I recommend you check The Lessons out. Right now, I am heading full-force into The Rules, the second book in the series.
