1. Don’t sleep around.
2. Don’t kiss and tell.
3. Be nice.
4. Don’t text or call.
5. Don’t fall in love.

The rules were simple...until they weren't.

I have everything I ever thought I could want: a nice home, a job I love, two beautiful girls, and my husband, Gabe - my high school sweetheart who still rocks my world. If you ask anyone to describe me they would say, "Oh, Mirella? She's such a nice girl." And that’s true...until a mysterious, peculiar man and his beautiful wife enter our lives.

Weston and Bridget Hanson are no ordinary couple—they’re stunning, enigmatic, and sexy as hell. During the course of one unexpected evening, my ordinary world is turned upside down. How could it not be when Weston and Bridget propose the unthinkable? And when the unthinkable is so very tempting, giving in becomes inevitable

It sounds so logical and simple. Just five rules and we can all have what we desire. But the heart doesn't follow rules, and now passion, jealousy, and confusion threaten to tear everything apart.

Two beautiful couples. Five simple rules. One hot mess.

Gah! This book.  This book was something I was totally not anticipating on falling in love with. I did not expect to finish it in less than a day either. But, I literally could not put it down.   I was completely hooked and did not want to stop.

I am a HUGE fan of taboo books…or really any sort of forbidden romance. After reading the synopsis and seeing that it involved two couples entering into a “couples exchange” I just knew I needed to pick it up stat.

Mirella and Gabe are the perfect couple, high school sweethearts with two adorable girls. On a whim, they decide to head to Chicago for a date. While waiting for a table, they meet Weston and Bridget and eventually end up sharing a meal with them.  Subsequent to the meal, Mirella and Gabe end up almost being courted by Weston and Bridget.  They introduce Mirella and Gabe into their swinging proclivities.  With five rules to adhere to, the “couples exchange” begin.  Can all four stick to the set of rules or will the lines become blurred?

“I think both of us know, deep inside…our relationship is about to change.”

The story is completely told in Mirella’s POV so you get to read all about her and Weston’s escapades.  You are with her when she triple questions herself about meeting Weston.  What you see is Mirella becoming a totally new woman, Weston brings out her sexy side. She seems to be almost more sure of herself.  But at the same time, she keeps questioning her relationship with not only Weston but also Gabe.  I could feel the push and pull she had and the ultimate decline she had when she realized that she was falling in love.  I am not sure that any woman could resist not falling in love with Weston.

To be honest, I kinda wish that we got a sneak peek into Gabe and Bridget’s arrangement.  I wish we could know if their relationship was purely just sexual.  This book just ends on a mild cliffhanger and I must say that I am waiting albeit impatiently for the next book. I may have (okay I already did) tweet the author to see when we get the next one.

About Roya Carmen

Romance writer, mom, book junkie. I have been writing for over ten years, finding my passion for romance in 2008. When I’m not spending time with my family, I enjoy reading, painting, and writing – there is nothing I enjoy more than sitting down at my laptop and making up my own stories – and if those stories should include beautiful men, a little romance, and a few steamy scenes, all the better!
