A beard-related dare and one hot-as-hell kiss changes everything.

NFL center Ethan Dexter’s focus has always been on playing football and little else. Except when it comes to one particular woman. The lovely Fiona Mackenzie might not care about his fame, but she’s also never looked at him as anything more than one of her brother-in-law’s best friend. That ends now.

Fi doesn’t know what to make of Dex. The bearded, tattooed, mountain of man-muscle looks more like a biker than a football player. Rumor has it he’s a virgin, but she finds that hard to believe. Because from the moment he decides to turn his quiet intensity on her she’s left weak at the knees and aching to see his famous control fully unleashed.

Dex is looking for a forever girl, but they live vastly different lives in separate cities. Fi ought to guard her heart and walk away. But Dex has upped his game and is using all his considerable charm to convince Fi he's her forever man.

The Game Plan is definitely my favorite of Kristen Callihan’s Game On series. I am going to go out on a limb and admit that the main reason is Ethan Dexter. That noise you just heard? It was me flinging my virtual panties at him. He is pure hotness personified.

Ethan (Dex) has always crushed on Fiona (Ivy’s sister) from afar. When they both meet up in San Francisco to stay Gray and Ivy’s house, sparks fly. I am talking literal sparks people.   So much so, that these two realize that there is actually something there besides a hook-up.  The worst thing going for them? The distance. Fi lives in NYC and Dex in New Orleans. They embark on a long-distance relationship which begins to take its toll amongst other things.

“Gray thinks he might be a Tebow.”

This book was definitely all Dex. I know for a fact that everyone will fall in utter love with him. I am not one for beards and man buns but Dex has converted me. One of his best attributes? His deep affection for Fi-he was so convinced that Fi was it for him even before she knew it. He was so sure in them as a couple, it’s like she was the end all and be all for him. Fi has always had the whole no-dating-sports-players rule so she didn’t really give Dex much thought. But he won her over pretty fast.

“I see Ethan Dexter; he shines for me. And I burn hotter than the sun when I’m in his orbit.”

Of course not all things can be smooth sailing and I have to admit I really like what the author did with this story. I really enjoyed what happened and how the characters overcame the situation.

On another note, I like how this series has moved past the college stage. I think it made the story more interesting and added a fresh spin on things.  Plus, it brings fresher ideas to the next books in the series-well…if the author plans on adding more to the series.

“You are perfect, Cherry. You’re my kind of perfect.”

I HIGHLY recommend you one-click this one. But be forewarned, this is one of the hottest books I’ve read as of late…so be prepared.
