Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you'd open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT's "PP". Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.
I GOT A JOB!
As of tomorrow, I'll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there's one itty bitty problem: I won't be Lorena's assistant. I'll be working for her older brother, Julian.
I know what you're thinking- "But Jo, what's the problem?"
Google him. Now. He's the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there's hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling...Do you see those dimples? Yup. That's the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.
Lord, help us all...
The Allure of Julian Lefray was exactly what I was looking for in a book. It was a sweet, mildly-angsty book that filled a huge book lull I was going through.
Josephine is a fashion blogger that has recently moved to NYC from a very small town in Texas and in desperate need of a job. When pure luck has her meeting Julian Lefray at a fashion gala she lands her dream job of working for a designer.
What I loved about Josephine was that she was so driven in her career and didn’t want to mess things up by entering into a relationship or whatnot with Julian. She was so determined to make something of herself in the fashion world that she did not let anything/anyone get in her way. Josephine is a total stand-up chick in my book.
Julian was pretty much pure sex. He was hot, an alpha male to the core, and did not play games. How could you not fall in love with someone like that? To boot, I think that Josephine showed him that there was more to life than just working.
Almost immediately these two have the sexy assistant/boss crush thing going on that we all love to read about. Their banter and sexual chemistry was off the charts awesome! At times they brought a smile from the funniness and the swooniness happening between the pages.
There were only two things that bothered me a little bit. Since this is a book about the fashion world, I was hoping that the author would’ve had the right spelling for the iconic Birkin bag. Secondly, being the epilogue whore that I am, I was bummed that we didn’t really get one. BUT…I smell a possible spinoff in the works. Or at least, I am hoping there is one. All in all, I really enjoyed this book, hell…I read it within a few hours. Definitely grab this one if you are looking for a fun read that will make you smile.
