Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan. She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals. It was who she was, and how she lived her life. She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please. Until him…

Carson Stinger was a man who didn't play by any rules except his own. Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn't care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan. He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer. Until her…

When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed. But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn't possible. At least not yet…

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY SCORPIO. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Stacia says…

Holy Crapola… sexy porn star Carson Stinger is definitely book boyfriend material! Throughout this book, the growth that his character went through was incredible and the way he loved and did anything he could for his ‘buttercup’ was just so swoon-worthy!

Georgetown student Grace Hamilton is in Las Vegas for a Law Students Association Conference, and unexpectedly meets Carson Stinger straight male performer, when they literally run right into each other. He is in Vegas for a different type of conference, the Adult Entertainment Expo. Even though their first meeting was brief, Grace finds herself frazzled and turned on by Carson; but given his profession she knows she needs to avoid him. Carson is beyond intrigued with Grace; she’s beautiful and sexy, but it just might be her sassy attitude that has him wanting her even more.

“Looks like we’re both her to learn how to be the best at getting people off.”

When the two of them are stuck in an elevator for several hours, with little else to do, they share things with each other that no one else knows. Based on the connection that they make and out of curiosity, Grace agrees to spend the weekend with Carson.  It quickly becomes so much more than just a weekend together though; but coming from such different worlds, they both see no way to make it work and end up parting ways. Aaahhh the goodbye in Vegas was so sad. I wanted so badly for them to figure out a way to make it work. Plus, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to listen to Sister Christian by Night Ranger again without thinking of Carson and elevators!

“Maybe having something good and then having to let it go is more painful than never knowing what you’re missing.”

The path that their lives take once they part ways is unexpected. I won’t say much more, because I don’t want to give anything away. I did find some of the time flash forwards to be frustrating- I wanted more from these parts and wasn’t happy that so much time had gone by before they were able to find each other again. But, I guess it was needed for them to make changes to their lives.

“I really, really like how you make me feel- like if you looked at me every day, the way you’re looking at me right now, I could do anything, be anything, be more.”

I enjoyed this book, but I didn’t connect with Grace’s character as much as I connected with Carson; I feel like he held this story together. Plus I almost felt like I was reading two different books… the first being a story of a porn-star meets law student and their journey to getting to know each other. The 2nd half was just almost a completely different story , but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. I just missed the simplicity of the beginning of the book. I enjoy Mia Sheridan’s writing and I look forward to reading more from her!

“Damn it if she didn’t taste like sunshine and everything sweet and fresh this world had to offer.”
