Stacia Says…

This YA novel was a breath of fresh air, with a story that took me out of my comfort zone.

17-year old Taylor Beckett has a gift; she is a talented computer hacker and after hacking into a prominent boarding school’s testing system and cheating, she receives a full scholarship. When she is called into Dean McAllister’s office on her first day, she figures she has been caught, when in reality she was selected to be a part of this school because of her hacking skills. That’s because Wilbrook isn’t all that it seems.

“I couldn’t concentrate on other girls until I had Taylor. She was like a drug to me. I’d had one small taste and it was nowhere near enough.”

Enter sexy martial arts instructor Colt, who Taylor is partnered with for her first field assignment. Colt quickly becomes more to Taylor than just a partner, when she starts looking forward to spending all of her time with him. But Colt doesn’t “do” love. He is known as the manwhore of the school and likes it that way. Will Taylor be able to break through Colt’s walls or will he end up like the last guy that broke her heart?

“I’m sorry Taylor. I’m sorry I’m not the guy you want me to be.”

I am secretly in love with anything to do with espionage, so imagine my surprise and delight when this book took a completely different turn than I had expected. I loved the instant chemistry between Taylor and Colt, which had me rooting for them to come together throughout the whole book. Colt is the ultimate cocky, sexy, bad-boy, who knows what he wants and usually gets it.
