Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

Maybe.

Leary and Stacia say…

Stacia- I don’t know what it is about MC books, but I can’t seem to get enough of them. Yes I know that a lot of motorcycle clubs engage in some criminal activity, but I can easily look past that; especially if being part of the club means I get to have the close knit family feeling and HOT bikers looking out for me. Okay, I will just say it, I secretly want to be an old lady.

Leary- I hear ya, Stacia! I’m seriously obsessed with MC books..the dark and gritty ones and the ones that aren’t so…EEKKK!! It’s totally the hot bikers that get me, I secretly want to be an old lady as well! There’s definitely not a shortage of hot bikers in this series and Ruger totally filled the shoes of a hot rugged biker who is fiercely loyal!

Stacia- I wasn’t sure what to make of Ruger at first. He seemed kind of like a jerk from the moment that we met him and the way that he treated Sophie was as if he didn’t care about her at all. Little did we know, that really this is a story of wanting someone that you can’t have and Ruger definitely wants Sophie.

Leary- I was confused at first too but when he started being so hot and cold I started to catch on to what was really going on. I love a story when someone has been lusting after another for years and finally got what they wanted. Surprisingly, Ruger has lusted after Sophie ever since he walked into his apartment finding her losing her virginity to his dickwad of a stepbrother. His lust eventually turned into something deeper one fateful night but the two tip toed around each other for years afterwards. The story picks up with Ruger jumping in to finally get Sophie where she belongs and where deep down she always wanted to be.

Stacia- Sophie, being a strong-minded single mother for way too long, of course fights her attraction to Ruger and wants nothing to do with the Reapers or MC life. That is until the old lady’s of the MC show her that they are all really just a family that looks out for each other. With that Sophie begins to soften a little and we get to witness the extremely HOT sexual tension that Ruger and her share. But of course their game of push and pull isn’t over…..

Leary- What good is an MC book with out a little resistance, some fighting, and kidnapping or two and some serious sass throwing?! We definitely had our fair share of club drama and Sophie was damn good at trying (keyword..trying) to put Ruger in his place. She really did start coming around on the whole club life but with the good always comes the bad and that’s exactly what Sophie struggled with. Although Sophie and Ruger had some SERIOUS chemistry…could Sophie let herself and her son get mixed up in the MC life? But the bigger question is…can Ruger finally become a one-woman man, something he’s vowed would never happened to him.

Stacia I think with every MC book there has to be a rival club and in this case, that would be the Devil Jacks. This MC tends to be into things a little more “dirty” then the Reapers and of course that causes major problems. I personally found some of the “club” business to be boring and too detailed. I was ready for more action and less talk.

Leary- There did seem to be a lot more club talk in this book then what I usually prefer. I would have liked if we spent a little more time in the ‘on’ phase of Ruger and Sophie. There is some major rivalry going on with the Devil Jacks and that definitely plays into the story line but I found it to be a bit too much. I do enjoy a good MC rivalry and MC drama but I could have gone with a little less drama and a little more romance!

Stacia- Even with all of that MC drama, we both enjoyed the story between Sophie and Ruger and of course we loved catching up with all the other members of the Reapers that we met in book one (including some great scenes with Maria and Horse). We look forward to book three, and we are already trying to guess which Reaper it will be about.
