Lydia De Havilland is shocked when Brogan Ramsay suddenly reappears in her life. Several years before, Brogan was the son of her family's gardener, and the boy she hurt and betrayed. But Brogan is no longer the quiet, sensitive boy she remembers. Now he's a man—gorgeous, powerful . . . and seeking vengeance.
Brogan Ramsay can't let go of the memory of Lydia tricking him cruelly, leaving his heart shattered and his family penniless. And now he's back to destroy her family the way his was destroyed. There's only one problem . . . the girl who wounded him so badly years ago is now a woman who still has the power to render him breathless.
Ramsay is the story of betrayal and wrath, of the strength of regret and the power of forgiveness. It is the story of the thin veil between love and hate, and how more often than not, when we seek to inflict pain on others, the heart we wound is our own.
A must – read, unforgettable romance filled with love, vengeance and hurt. I always turn to Mia Sheridan when I want to feel. She writes the most beautiful characters and they always, always bring me through so many emotions.
The story opens with young love. Sweet, young and forbidden love that ends dramatically before it can even begin.
Brogan Ramsay was the gardener’s son and he is out to exact revenge for what he was put through years ago on that fateful night by Lydia De Havilland. Only his revenge doesn’t feel as good in reality as it did when plotting it.
”I hated her for manipulating me, for making me hope, for the weakness I’d felt. And I couldn’t forgive her for it. I wouldn’t ever forgive her for it.”
Told in dual POV, Ramsay is a heart warming, second chance love story. I absolutely LOVED the Irish aspect of the story; loved hearing the Gaelic dialect and as always those sweet words of love whispered in an Irish lilt get me every time. The emotions were drawn out, making me feel the intensity between the characters. It just had everything that I love in a Contemporary Romance. Another little tidbit worth mentioning is a secondary character named Fionn……… I would love to get more on Fionn, he was such an amazing, loyal and hilarious character. Mia’s sign of love series has thus far been a tip-top hit for me and I can not wait for more!!
