Players gotta play.
Hate is like a poison. It contaminates everything.
So does doubt.
Even though I deny what I overheard, even though I insist it isn’t true, the seed of doubt has been planted. I can’t help but be tormented with the endless what-if’s that have taken over our lives.
Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo’s entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened… and my past?
It’s coming back to haunt me.
To haunt us.
Romeo says we’re in this together and right now the only sure thing is us. But how far can a love so new be pushed? The lengths we will have to go to save each other puts everything at risk.
Romeo is a #player but how much of the game can one person play?
This is the third book in the Hashtag series and needs to be read after only first reading #Nerd and #Hater. This is not a standalone and my review may contain spoilers from the first two books!
“Rimmel was it for me. She was my forever.”
#Player picks up right from where the last book ended. Rimmel is on academic probation after being accused of plagiarizing a paper and in jeopardy of losing her scholarship. Romeo’s football career is in question after suffering an injury while saving Rimmel from Zach the evil, obsessed classmate.
Not to mention the rumors that Rimmel now has to deal with, regarding her father and his possible connection to her mother’s death years ago. Oy… can these two get a moment to relax and just be in love?
“How do you do it?” I whispered.
“Do what?” he asked
“How do you look at me like…like I’m everything.”
“Because you are.”
This book is full of drama, drama, drama! But somehow it all works and I find myself enjoying this series so much! I love a good college romance and Cambria Hebert has a talent for writing stories that just suck you in and are so witty and original.
I looked forward to the #BuzzBoss and the Alpha Buzz Feed at the beginning of each chapter. They were all so unique and they made me laugh. If you follow our blog, you know I love a good Hashtag!!
“I could- I would- walk away from everything and anything. But not from you. Never from you,” I whispered.
Although I was sad to see the end to Rimmel and Romeo’s story and secretly I would have loved their “epilogue” to be a bit longer, I am excited for the next books in this series. Braeden is my absolute favorite. I loved how protective he was of Rimmel and how even though they didn’t necessarily fit as friends, they formed a strong bond and he became her BBFL (Big Brother for Life). His story will be next in the series and I can’t wait for #Selfie!
