At eleven he was my first crush. At sixteen he became mine. At nineteen he broke my heart and destroyed me. That was ten years ago and the last time I saw Cole Ryan.

They say you never get over your first love...I beg to differ. I left my shattered heart buried in a town I never expected to return to. I erased every thought of him and buried the memories never to be found.

I moved on...now ten years later I have the perfect life, the perfect fiancé, the perfect career. Everything I ever wanted until I'm forced to go back and face my past and the man that destroyed me.

He won't stop until I know the truth no matter how hard I fight it. In the end, lies will be uncovered, hearts will be broken, and my life as I've come to know it destroyed.

Stacia says…

Second-chance romance’s are one of my favorite genres. Fault Lines is a second-chance romance at its best! Cole and Frances (aka Franny/Frankie) grew up together and shared all of their “firsts” together. But they let too many lies and secrets get in the way of their happiness the first time around and Frankie leaves their small home town for a new life. 10-years later she returns when her mother gets sick; but even that amount of time apart doesn’t stop the hurt and heartache for these two.

There is a lot of angst and heartbreak surrounding Cole and Frankie’s story. But, at times I was really frustrated with the characters. I understand why Cole did some of the things he did, but not as much with Frankie. Plus I felt like they pushed each other away, when it would have been very easy to get past things and forget. I think my favorite thing about this book was the secondary characters- especially Cole’s best friend Carter! I also liked the connection between the title  to the characters and the situations that came up within the story.
