The conclusion to The Over Duet
Marlo … wild-eyed, untamed, and every single thing I’ve ever wanted from this life. I wasn’t ready for her back then. I was a stupid boy with adult feelings and no idea what to do with them. I squandered away every chance she gave me.
Yes, love like ours either burns white hot or crumbles under the pressure.
And now I’m back to sift through the rubble.
Questions and excuses are two things I have in spades. What I need now are answers.
Answers and Low.
My name is Ever Montgomery, and this is my story of love resurrected.
It has been such a long time since a book has pulled me in so quickly and had me pulling an all-nighter to finish it because I literally couldn’t put it down. Ever over After was such an amazing conclusion to the Over Duet and I loved it even more (which rarely happens) than Low over High!
“Time passes , memories fade, but feelings are forever.”
Ever over After picks up right where the first book ended. Its full of snarky, sarcastic one-liners from Marlow, which I couldn’t get enough of. But getting to see the adult version of Ever and seeing the amazing man he grew into was the best part of this book! As much as he was broken in the first book, he is now strong, supportive, and just overall remarkable.
“Love changes over time. The edges may dull, the butterflies hibernate… but some times, the best things, sharpen and flourish as years pass. Ever is the best thing.”
Because this is a 2nd book in a series, as well as a conclusion- I will keep this review brief, so that I don’t give any spoilers away. But I really can’t recommend this series enough. I also must mention that author J.A. DeRouen is such a beautiful writer! I feel such a connection to her stories and characters and don’t ever want them to end. I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
