There's this boy.
He kinda owns my heart.

Who am I kidding?

He owns all of me--but he's completely oblivious to it.
And I can't tell him.

Because there's this girl.
And even though he's my best friend, she is too.

Then there's me...

Stacia says…

Well the old saying “don’t judge a book by it’s cover,” definitely applies to this book. I went into it thinking it would be the typical best friend young adult type of romance, but what I got was a lot more. From the hilarious “Quinnisms,” to the steamy (at times even skokie) scenes, to the angsty feelings involved, this book had a little bit of everything. I will say that it was pretty predictable throughout most of the story; although there were two plot twists that I didn’t see coming– of course I am keeping these to myself, so that you can experience them for yourself!

“Friendships like this are the unbreakable kind. Friends like this are the irreplaceable kind.”

This is the story of three best friends. Two of which have been friends since they can remember and one who came into the picture later, but means just as much to them. Quinn can’t remember a time that she didn’t have feelings for Chase, but once Finley moves to town, she steps aside and welcomes her new roll as ‘the third wheel’ until it comes to the point where she doesn’t even know who she is any more.  Until one unexpected moment changes everything between this trio and they have to figure out how to hold on to what they had or learn to move on.

“You always seem to know what I need.”

Quinn was the type of female main character that I love in books. She was strong, supportive, funny and you could really tell how much these friendships meant to her. I loved Chase in parts, but then in parts his decisions honestly frustrated the hell out of me. I wanted him to do the right thing, but instead he seemed to do the exact opposite and just make things worse. One of my favorite secondary characters was Greg; he had me laughing out loud and turned out to have Quinn’s back more than anyone else!

If you are looking for a sweet, funny and at times unexpected read then grab this one up!
