At one time, I had everything I wanted in life. Or I thought I did, but I lived in black and white. Then, he exploded into my world. Dragon.

He’s hot-blooded, cocky, stubborn as hell, and he drives me crazy. With him everything is more...It’s more vibrant, more exciting, more...real.

Suddenly I have everything to lose. In fact, I’m terrified that I might not be strong enough to hold on to it all. Because I’m learning with life, there are no hearts and flowers. Sometimes, there is just darkness.
Dragon “Detroit” West

There’s one thing I know about life. You have to grab it by the throat and go at it full throttle.

Thrown away with the garbage on the day I was born, hooked on crack before I even take my first breath and doing what I had to do just to survive—

That’s who I am.
I’m the filth your mother warned you about.

The Savage MC is the only family I’ve ever had, the only ones I can depend on.
Then she walks into my life. Nicole.
Nothing like what I expected, sassy, smart and sexy as hell. She’s everything I could want and more.

Our worlds don’t mix. I’m only going to drag her down.
She should have never let me touch her…

Life can tear you into shreds, make you bend until you break.
Sometimes, you have to face death, so you can live.

Stacia says…

Okay as you all know by now, or should as much as I mention it in reviews, I love a good MC book. I love the raw grittiness of the biker world, and in some twisted way I would be okay being an old lady LOL. So, initially that is what drew me to Breaking Dragon, well that and the cover… Hello Hotness!! I am an admitted cover snob, so to see this sexy cover with an interracial couple on it- well let’s just say I was sold!

Nicole is excited to finally be moving from her ‘hole in the wall’ hometown of Blade, Kentucky with her best friend Dani. She needs a new start, away from her parents; with a mother that has never encouraged or really been close to her and a father that is all about status…Nicole is ready for so much more.

“I’ve got scars, inside and out Mama does it make you care about me less?”

She gets way more then what she planned when she runs into a group of bikers.  Dragon, with his sexy “mocha skin” is the president of this MC, the Savages. As it turns out, the MC owns the house Nicole and Dani are renting and also own the club that they got jobs at. So, avoiding Dragon isn’t going to be as easy as Nicole planned.

“Don’t kid yourself Mama. There is not a damn thing beautiful about me.”

Dragon had one thought when he saw Nicole, to tap that ass. But she quickly got under his skin and he couldn’t stop thinking about her. He has a lot of scars and had a horrible upbringing and doesn’t even know how to love. He had no intention of falling for her, but Nicole proves to be strong, confident, and everything that Dragon realizes he needs, but doesn’t deserve.

“Mama if you’re trying to mold into this perfect fucking boyfriend, that’s not who I am. I’m dark, I’m jaded and I like my sex dirty. I’m not going to say sorry for being who I am. I like who I am baby, I ain’t changing for no fucking body.”

I found it very refreshing to see a male lead and female lead be interracial… authors really don’t focus on this enough and I am glad that Jordan did. Dragon is one hot, damaged biker! Nicole was the perfect match for him and her stubbornness, and at times naïve ways just worked. I would have liked to get a little more background into Dragon’s past; maybe either through flashbacks or him sharing with Nicole, as I felt this part of the story was a little too brief. Dani was a strong, funny, great side kick for Nicole and I hope to see more of her in this series. I am excited, but nervous to read Dancer’s story next- which I am sure will be sad and tortured!
