Breaking Elle by Antoinette Candela: Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway

How is it that one person who you have avoided is the same person who could give you true happiness?
When Elle Bennett meets Reed Austin she can’t deny the attraction.  She discovers that certain people come into your life who make you question everything that you’ve ever believed about love and life.  Will she risk everything for something exciting and dangerous or will she choose what is familiar and secure?
Reed Austin isn’t looking for love when he moves to Boston.  The distance was supposed to help him escape the trouble he left behind.  Once he meets Elle, everything changes.  Reed can’t figure out why he’s drawn to Elle, but one thing is certain-he needs her.
Passion.  Betrayal.  Solace.  Confusion.  Desperation.
Love and life are not simple and emotions relationships are tested.  Will attraction be enough or will their secrets and past keep them apart?

Alexis says…

Elle is a 22 year-old college student who is lucky enough to win the hearts of not 1, but 3 guys.  I know, right…how lucky is she?  Well, not as lucky as some would think as she catches Cage, her boyfriend of 2 years cheating on her yet again.  I was so mad when he cheated on her and with the same girl AGAIN!  I was worried that Elle was going to take him back at first but thankfully she came to her senses.
Enter Reed, the new employee at the sports center that she works with along with Cage and her friend Tyler.  I know, too much drama at one place for me.  Anyways Reed is the hottie with a Texas drawl that would make anyone weak in the knees.  Right away sparks fly as their budding friendship turns into a hot romance.  But, Reed has his fair amount of baggage, like a full set in my opinion, that does more damage to their relationship then benefit.  I did like them together at first but ended up not liking Reed in the end and imagine some of you readers will feel the exact same way.
Last, but surely not least, there is Tyler, Elle’s best friend of many years.  He has been her constant for so many years, and was her support system when her parent’s divorced.  He also has some serious love for Elle…like he wants to be her everything.  I rooted for Tyler to win Elle’s heart as I fell for him and hoped Elle would wake up and do the same thing.
I did enjoy this book, but found myself getting mad at the same time.  I wanted to grab Elle by the neck and knock some serious sense into her.  I should warn you…this is not a standalone book, so there is a cliffhanger.
