Angel of Mine by Jessica Louise: Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway

If you had the ability to heal with just one touch, the capability to absorb other’s pain by making it your own, would you do it?
The gratifying feeling she gets from helping others intoxicates Ally; the glowing warmth within constantly simmers, incessant on bursting free.  Ally was born to do this, but how much damage can her body take?
Theo finds himself getting closer to the girl that continues to inflict pain on herself.  When he discovers her secret, his overwhelming concern drives him to do everything in his power to prevent Ally from getting hurt, no matter how lovely her intentions are.
Theo also has his secrets and will take any measure to keep them hidden from the girl he is falling in love with.  He knows better than to let her get too close.  She can never find out the information he conceals because she cannot help him anyway.
Devastating circumstances.  Helpless love.  When there’s a will, is there actually a way?

Christine says:

At a young age, it’s discovered that Ally has a special healing power and relieves the pain of others.  She is so selfless, she feels compelled to heal all those around her no matter the pain she will endure.  Ally’s  mother has a fear of her power being discovered so she doesn’t let allow her out of the house until finally one days she does.  Theo playing football in the park with his brother catches Ally’s eye which sparks this beautiful love story.  Theo and Ally have this amazing connection and their love for one another is just beautiful.
Theo has a secret but unfortunately it doesn’t stay in the past for long.  Ally is the last person that Theo wants to know of his secret.  This is the point of the story where things get predictable (at least for me)…Ally finds out his secret and wants to help him but Theo pushes her away.  Ally is determined to get him the help he needs.  There was a small twist at the end, but kinda saw it coming.
I give this book a solid 4 stars, once I started I couldn’t put it down.  Although a little predictable, it was a beautiful, heartwarming with a little angst story of Ally and Theo.  Theo was just so thoughtful and sweet that I couldn’t help to swoon over him.  I do warn that this is YA, so don’t be looking for anything dirty ;).

“I love you more than anyone else ever will.  Can’t you see that?  I dream about you at night, and I think about you first thing in the morning.  I. Love. You.  I love you like breathing.  How can I stop?  This is why you need to leave.  Please leave me.”

About Christine, our Guest Reviewer:

I work full time and then do overtime as a Mom to three kids.  I am married now for 6 years to my high-school sweetheart.  My love for reading was sparked again after reading “Fifty Shades of Grey” and since then I’ve been obsessed.  My world would be boring without my Indie Authors.  I read on average 3 books a week.  I surprisingly don’t need a HEA, I love the angst and occasional ugly cry.  I do enjoy reading many different genres and I look forward to the epilogue,  I really am a book whore and just love all my book boyfriends, although I must mention my two favorites, Colt Mitchell and Kellan Kyle.
