When Cassie Taylor met Ethan Holt at acting school, sparks flew. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy about campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing, Cassie and Ethan's romance seemed destined. Until he broke her heart and betrayed her trust. Now the A-list heartthrob is back in her life and turning her world around. One touch at a time.

Cast as romantic leads once again, they're forced to confront raw memories of the heartbreaking lows and pulse-pounding highs of their secret college affair. But they'll also discover that people who rub each other the wrong way often make the best sparks

Casey Says….

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?……… :::Cue the screeching brakes::: if you are thinking hearts and flowers and a love sick Romeo- think again. Bad, Broken, and Beaten…….this is the Romeo my heart bleeds for!

Bad Romeo had so much sexual tension I could almost taste it.  Filled with hilarious one liners, (perhaps Starbucks makes an Orgasmalatte) sarcasm, and a heroine who comes into her own- I suffered major hangover once completed.

“I’m still pretending to be butt pumped when I look up and see him. He’s a few yards away, all tall and broad shouldered. His dark hair is wavy and unruly, and although his expression is impassive, his eyes show clear disdain. Sharp and unforgiving”

Ethan and Cassie first lay eyes on one another during a drama school audition. When they both get casted in the ever romantic play of Romeo and Juliet which can be considered the most beautiful love story every written or the most tragic- a passionate relationship ensues. Despite Ethan’s warnings to Cassie that she is better off staying away and regardless of Ethan’s attempts at fighting his feelings, their intense passion cannot be ignored. The emotional vulnerability that Ethan holds inside is felt across the pages of this book. He shows such strength in helping to build up Cassie’s weaknesses, yet such self-denial in building up his own.

“I warned you,” he says, breathing heavily and cupping my face. “Why the hell didn’t you listen?”

Fast-forward 6 years after Cassie is devastatingly crushed by Ethan. Thrown back together again on the big stage- Cassie must figure out how to once again be in Ethan’s arms without losing herself or her once shattered heart. She faces a huge internal battle between her head, her heart and her hormones…….

“Nothing was enough for me after you.”

Now that he has Cassie back in his sights Ethan is determined to get her back where she belongs- with him. Has he really changed? Is he really here to stay? Can she trust him again? Ethan will stop at nothing to prove to her all of the above…..

“We’ve never been over. You know it as well as I do. Even when I was halfway around the world and you hated my guts, we weren’t over. You can feel it between us now. And the closer we are, the stronger it gets.”

I LOVED this book.  I read it two days before my Top Ten for 2014 was released and as soon as I put it down I knew without a doubt someone was going to lose their spot on my list to make room for Bad Romeo. Although I am not a fan of cliffhangers- and this one did have a minor one, I still thought it was a fantastic read.  Many readers feel like they were left satisfied with the ending but, I NEED MORE ETHAN AND CASSIE.

About Leisa Rayven

Writing has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn’t long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.

Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that’s because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.

Since then, she’s honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.

These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and her debut novel, BAD ROMEO, will be available in a worldwide release through Macmillan Publishing in December 2014. The sequel, BROKEN JULIET, will be available in April 2015.

Leisa lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three judgemental cats, and a kangaroo named Howard. (*NB: Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.*)
