She’s an author.
She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.
A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition.
What can I say about Author Anonymous? Let’s see…it was probably the most addictive book I’ve read in SOOO long. Seriously it was some sort of book crack that I couldn’t get enough of.
Below are some of the thoughts that actually went through my mind while reading this book:
Oh my god…NO!!
Okay, this is so F-ing hot!
I can’t honestly believe she did THAT.
I should really hate that I’m enjoying this so much.
Ugh! *throws my Kindle*
Yes, those were just a few of the things racing in my mind while feasting on this book.
Victoria is a NYT-bestselling author. She is just like everyone else, she’s human and makes mistakes. But her mistakes are more epic and will leave the reader aghast. She will make you hate her. She will make you feel sorry for her. She will break your heart. You will be horrified by the decisions and the aftereffects from the fall out. Trust me. I swear. That’s literally all I will say about the plot besides the fact that you need to go in blind. For real. Don’t read any spoilers or the entire experience of this book will be ruined.
I think E.K. Blair did a tremendous job with writing this book. The way she wrote this book was addicting to say the least. It was a train wreck that I couldn’t stop staring at or in this case reading about. It’s a book that I didn’t want to stop reading and then immediately wanted to reread again. I think it took a lot of guts to take someone’s real story and put that story to paper.
And I know what the biggest thing on your mind will be…who on earth is Anonymous? I truly believe that is the million dollar question here but one I don’t think we will find out. Trust me, I am not going to lie and say that I haven’t been thinking about it and trying to figure out who it is for the past three weeks. Seriously, that’s how long I’ve been thinking about this book. That rarely ever happens. Also, I loved the inside scoop of what happens at author signings. Again…there goes my imaginative mind on who these authors and bloggers were.
Hands down this is one of my favorite books of the year. Definite top ten or top five material for sure.
